High-Impact HIV Prevention and Surveillance Programs for Health Departments - ADHS is planning to implement comprehensive programs to prevent and treat HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis C and resources to all individuals regardless of their HIV status, while promoting inclusive, equitable and accessible care. Adopting a syndemic and status neutral approach to HIV prevention involves integrating hepatitis C and STI education, testing, and treatment into existing healthcare systems, community programs, and public health initiatives. Lastly, by aligning with the Arizona HIV/STI/Hepatitis Integrated Plan, strategies can be tailored to the specific needs of the community, by leveraging collaborative efforts between government agencies, healthcare providers, and community organizations to maximize impact and reduce the incidence of HIV, hepatitis C and STI transmission. ADHS will focus funds, strategies, and activities in the Ending the HIV Epidemic jurisdiction in Arizona, Maricopa County. ADHs is requesting CDC for $7,247,220 to implement all six strategies and the required activities in Arizona.
