The coalition will prevent and reduce youth substance use by implementing the following strategies: 1. Hire staff and elect officers within 30 days of receiving DFC funding 2. Develop a strong, viable committee structure to support prevention activities 3. Increase Coalition membership and sector representation through on-going recruitment efforts 4. Involve youth in social media campaign 5. Support and enhance ETC's Youth Advisory Council (YAC) and other youth run activities 6. Create a comprehensive evaluation plan 7. Incorporate sustainability strategies into all aspects of ETC's work 8. Increase law enforcement activities 9. Develop and implement T.I.P.S training program in Enfield 10. Implement a broad-based campaign focusing on a) underage drinking; b) marijuana use; and c) unintended use of prescription and/or OTC medications Enfield, Town of DFC Grant Page t-jfri\ 11. Foster positive relationships between youth and adults, including parents and other "authority" figures 12. Develop social marketing campaign utilizing public access cable, public service announcements (radio), newspapers, flyers, posters, and brochures 13. Conduct bi-annual survey in the school system to include the Four Core Questions
