Drug Delivery to the Brain: Emerging Modalities - ABSTRACT Support is requested for a Keystone Symposia conference entitled Drug Delivery to the Brain: Emerging Modalities, organized by Drs. James Gorman, Stina Syvänen and Danica Stanimirovic (in memoriam) with scientific programming input from Keystone Symposia. The meeting will take place February 17–20, 2025 at Keystone Resort in Keystone, Colorado USA. Recognizing that better treatments are urgently needed for a range of devastating brain diseases, including neurodegenerative diseases, brain tumors, and rare genetic conditions, this Keystone Symposia conference on Drug Delivery to the Brain will focus on the development of experimental central nervous system (CNS) disease therapies and tailoring strategies for their delivery to the brain and spinal cord. The conference program sessions will showcase scientific advances in understanding barriers for drug delivery, address translational successes and challenges with in vitro and in vivo models of complex brain transport and disease processes, and provide updates on and evaluation of clinical trials to guide future studies. This conference is unique in its focus on scientific and technological advances and challenges in delivering new therapies across a wide range of modalities to appropriate compartments in the CNS. Additionally, this conference will be held at the same time and location as another Keystone Symposia conference, Antibodies as Drugs: Innovative Formats, Design and Engineering, which will offer the unique opportunity for distinct scientific communities with related interests to share cross-disciplinary insights and encourage new collaborations towards novel treatment and delivery modalities that can be applied to prevent, treat, and cure a multitude of diseases.
