Project Abstract Summary- Component 3 - SURVEILLANCE The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE), Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), Office of School Health Services (SHS) will utilize the CDC-RFA-DP-24-0139 grant funds to collect, analyze, and disseminate scientifically valid data related to adolescent risk behaviors and school health policies and practices by utilizing the Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) and the School Health Profiles survey. The DESE Office of School Health Services has over twenty-five years of experience coordinating, implementing, collecting, and obtaining weighted YRBS and Profiles data, as well as presenting and educating state and local stakeholders of the data results and successfully utilizing the data for school level improvements. The Office of School Health Services is dedicated to maintaining weighted data collection to provide valuable, valid data sources for local education officials, state policy makers, and other stakeholders in Arkansas.
