Conduct HIV prevention, testing, treatment, partner notification, and surveillance in the State of Kansas - The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) HIV Surveillance and Prevention Programs are applying for the High-Impact HIV Prevention and Surveillance Programs for Health Department activities and strategies under PS24-0047 funding. Project strategies include: 1) Diagnose- ensure all people with HIV receive a diagnosis as early as possible; 2) Treat- implement a comprehensive approach to treat people with diagnosed HIV infection rapidly and reach viral suppression; 3) Prevent- reduce new HIV transmission by increasing PrEP and PEP services and supporting HIV prevention, including, condom distribution, perinatal transmission prevention and harm reduction services; 4) Respond – identify and quickly respond to HIV clusters and outbreaks to address gaps and inequities in services for communities who need them; 5) Conduct HIV Surveillance activities; 6) Support community engagement and HIV planning.
