STI Surveillance Network (SSuN) Cycle 5 - Philadelphia has historically had high STD morbidity and consistently ranks in the Top 15 counties for chlamydia, gonorrhea, and infectious syphilis case counts. In 2023, Health Center 1 (HC1) saw over 8,000 unique patients with more than 13,000 visits and STD Control conducted over 200 SSuN enhanced investigations from the 8,611 gonorrhea cases that were reported in Philadelphia. The STD Control Program and STD Clinic have strong ties to the Division of HIV Health to support the data matching required for this project. The Philadelphia STD Control and STD Clinic Health Center 1 (HC1) will be applying for  Strategy A: Protocol-based sentinel surveillance in STI/ Sexual Health Clinics for the STD HC1,  Strategy B: Protocol-based sentinel enhanced STI case surveillance in Philadelphia. since STD Control received 8500 reports of GC and meets the inclusion threshold in 2023;  Strategy C two activities (C.2 and C.5) o C.2 (a) HIV PrEP (b) doxy PEP quarterly monitoring of HIV PrEP /doxy PEP users. As a sexual health clinic that providers quality sexual health services, STD HC1 provide HIV PrEP and doxy PEP to eligible patients. o C.5 local enhancements of surveillance datebase for SSuN Strategy B.Participation in this activity will improve standardizing HIV PrEP and doxy PEP clinic monitoring at SSuN sites to better compare and understand prescribing and patient trends between sites. Continued inclusion of Philadelphia data in SSuN cycle 5 will support the overall project because both the population of Philadelphia and clinic clients have strong representation of underserved, minority populations in the US. Additionally, since Philadelphia was included in prior cycles continued data collection will allow for comparisons over time.
