Fiscal Year 2025 Expanded Hours. - HFHC Heart of Florida Health Center (HFHC) is a 501c (3) Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) providing health care services in Marion County, Florida and the surrounding areas. Located in the north central area of the state, HFHC’s service area are the 27 ZCTAs that make up primarily Marion County and a small portion of the neighboring areas. (Since becoming an FQHC in March 2009, HFHC has opened 10 satellite health center sites that include a school-based site and a free-standing drive-through pharmacy, in addition to its original Central location. Ensuring we are addressing identified areas in our health centers, HFHC will identify which sites to expand hours. HFHC intends to expand hours to reduce barriers to scheduling that prevent our current and new patients, and other Marion County community members ability access care during current business hours. HFHC, using information from patient utilization, current satisfaction, community needs assessments, and other draft and preliminary needs assessment information, will define the sites and services to be provided during the new proposed expanded hours. HFHC Proposes to expand service hours in sites to expand access to care while ensuring patient and staff safety.
