Renewed Hope: Center for Child Disaster Behavioral Health - Renewed Hope: Center for Child Disaster Behavioral Health will build national capacity to deliver timely, trauma-informed care to children and families affected by disasters and mass violence, prioritizing disaster-prone states, Indian tribes, territories, Deaf and Hard of Hearing youth, and youth affected by mass violence. The Center will adapt interventions for priority populations and conduct Trainer Institutes in Psychological First Aid (PFA), PFA for Schools (PFA-S), Skills for Psychological Recovery (SPR), and SAFETY-A, with ongoing fidelity coaching, consultation, technical assistance, and collaboration through a Virtual Trainer Platform. It will certify 110 PFA trainers, 40 SPR trainers, and 80 PFA-S trainers, who will train 5,000 providers in PFA, 1,000 in SPR, and 3,000 in PFA-S. Consultation and technical assistance will address bereaved or injured children, youth with prior trauma, displaced families, and youth at elevated risk for substance use or suicide. Renewed Hope will disseminate materials following 40 disasters, provide comprehensive support to 9 disaster-impacted communities, engage 30 new strategic partners, and help 3 higher education institutions integrate disaster behavioral health into workforce training. Evaluation, fidelity monitoring, and continuous quality improvement will guide implementation and refinement.
