The Cocopah Indian Tribe is seeking funds to re-establish the Diabetes Program that was once held through the Wellness Department a few years back. The Tribal community is in dire need for all services related to treating and pre-treating patients that suffer the secondary effects due to Diabetes. These range from providing care to wounds, dental care, foot care, mobility treatment, dietary education, orthodontal services, Nutritional services, Therapy, and Podiatrist services. Within these aforementioned services, equipment and supplies are also needed to be acquired in order to provide these treatments and services to the community. We are also eager to fix our Diabetic Walk path and set up a few exercise equipment machines that can be available for usage by the Diabetic patients to help with circulation and muscle mobility.
