Planned Parenthood Minnesota Title X Telehealth Expansion Project - Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota (Planned Parenthood) is thankful for the opportunity to submit a proposal to enhance and expand our direct-to-consumer (DTC), site-to-site, and asynchronous telehealth services. We are passionate about our telehealth services, as we have been providing asynchronous telehealth since 2012, site-to-site telehealth since 2018, and DTC telehealth since March 2020, which we swiftly and seamlessly implemented at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. For over 90 years, Planned Parenthood has been the foremost provider of sexual and reproductive health care in Minnesota, and we are compelled to improve our family planning telehealth services in order to meet the needs of our Minnesotan communities and patients, maximize the efficiency of services, provide a safe, minimal-contact work environment for our health care providers and staff, and pave the way for our long-term goal of making telehealth services our first line of service for family planning and reproductive care.
Planned Parenthood is committed to enhancing our telehealth services by improving the quality of our systems as well as expanding service delivery. We anticipate that at the end of this grant period, if funded, we would be able to solidify this service at double the current capacity and further increase our volume of telehealth patients for the subsequent four years of the Title X Project period and beyond.
The Title X Telehealth Expansion Project strengthens our telehealth infrastructure and capabilities, thereby creating more equitable opportunities for both patients and health center staff. Planned Parenthood’s Title X Telehealth Project will enhance and expand high-quality, client-centered critical family planning and reproductive healthcare services and prioritize individuals from low-income families and underserved populations including rural, BIPOC, and LGBTQ++.
