The Family Health Council of Central Pennsylvania (FHCCP) has served as the Title X grantee in 24 counties in the central PA region for 49 years. The central focus of FHCCP’s Title X program is to decrease health inequalities, and the organization has identified both specific populations in need and initiatives to better serve those populations.
With funding through the Family Planning Telehealth Infrastructure Enhancement and Expansion Grant, FHCCP is proposing to serve 3,133 clients via expanded telehealth services, with 1,512 of those clients having low incomes. Populations of focus for increased telehealth access include rural residents, economically marginalized people, people with substance use disorders, adolescents, people from sexual/gender minority groups, formerly incarcerated women, people who have experienced trauma, and people living with disabilities.
Project goals and objectives outlined in the work plan address OPA/Department of Health and Human Services program priorities. As a Title X grantee, FHCCP strives to guarantee the efficient and effective use of federal, state, and local funding. FHCCP’s strong administrative capacity enables it to recruit providers, allocate funds, and administer the program to ensure that quality family planning services are accessible in the communities it serves. FHCCP monitors and supports its provider network through data management, training and technical assistance, and education.
