To ensure access to family planning and reproductive health services for individuals, families and adolescents in the rural and frontier communities in Nevada. - The State of Nevada, Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) promotes the health and well-being of Nevadans through the delivery essential family planning and reproductive health services. The Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH), Community Health Services (CHS) is a public program that is focused on the overall health of individuals, families, and adolescents through a broad range of effective family planning services and related preventative health services. CHS provides Title X funded family planning services in eleven (11) clinics in the communities of Fallon, Fernley, Dayton, Yerington, Hawthorne, Lovelock, Tonopah, Pahrump, Panaca, Ely, and Winnemucca. The Community Health Nursing (CHN) clinics support our rural and frontier communities working closely with the counties to provide family planning services to low income, underserved, uninsured and underinsured individuals and families in an equitable manner. CHS aims to improve the reproductive health, reduce rates of unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections and support overall health and well-being for individuals, families and the community through prevention, early intervention and quality services.
