Wyoming Health Council (WHC), is a 501 (c) 3 private, nonprofit organization located in Casper, Wyoming, incorporated in 1990 to serve as Wyoming’s Title X family planning grantee. We are submitting this application for federal funding to continue to provide the core family planning and related preventive health care services throughout Wyoming; and to ensure that they prioritize serving clients with low incomes. WHC proposes to conduct all Title X family planning activities in compliance with Title X statute, program requirements, legislative mandates and program regulations.
WHC is applying for funding for five (5) years, from April 1, 2022 through March 31, 2027. WHC proposes to continue to provide administrative, clinical, and fiscal management of Title X funds to facilitate voluntary family planning for up to fourteen (14) sites around the state through up to ten (10) subcontracted agencies. This represents significant program expansion in Natrona, Fremont, and Teton counties. Telehealth and mobile services will be expanded into the eastern counties in the state through our existing network of providers.
Our clinics provide Title X services as outlined in the QFP to help address the public health challenges of improving reproductive health, decreasing unintended and adolescent birth rates, and decreasing inequities in health outcomes. These services include a broad range of contraceptive methods, pregnancy testing and counseling, support of clients wanting to achieve or prevent a pregnancy, pre-conception counseling, basic infertility services, and STI screening and treatment. These high-quality services are delivered in a confidential, voluntary, equitable, timely, accessible, and client centered manner on a sliding fee discount schedule. Additionally, the clinics provide related preventive health services to support and improve optimal health and decrease the susceptibility to adverse health outcomes to underserved populations.
