The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) requests Title X funding to support the New York State Family Planning Program (NYS FPP) in providing comprehensive family planning and reproductive health services to low-income New Yorkers. The NYS FPP is a statewide program with overarching goals to 1) Improve sexual and reproductive health and birth outcomes, 2) Partner with individuals to support their reproductive health goals, and 3) Reduce racial and ethnic disparities in sexual and reproductive health outcomes. Title X funds will support the NYS FPP network which includes 34 funded subrecipient agencies operating 157 clinic sites that deliver high-quality clientcentered services to over 300,000 individuals each year. The NYS FPP Title X Project will focus on maintaining and strengthening family planning services across the state of New York, with an emphasis on implementing key priorities to advance health equity, improve and expand access to Title X services, and deliver services of the highest quality. Leveraging its long-term experience and capacity to implement statewide programming and effectively and efficiently administer Title X grant funds, the NYSDOH is uniquely suited and committed to reentering the Title X program. Title X funding will be utilized to: support service delivery contracts with subrecipient agencies; facilitate necessary technology upgrades and enhancements to improve data collection efforts and transition to FPAR 2.0; implement expanded training, technical assistance, clinical support, and quality improvement initiatives; and ensure sufficient staffing capacity to oversee the NYS FPP.
