Southern Nevada Family Planning Program - The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD), dba Southern Nevada Community Health Center (SNCHC), located in Las Vegas, Clark County (in the southernmost section of the State of Nevada known as Southern Nevada) will provide Title X services in Southern Nevada (specifically Clark, Nye, and Lincoln counties). SNCHC’s family planning services include: • Birth Control Methods: the Depo shot, oral contraception, condoms, spermicides, hormonal implants, copper and hormonal intrauterine devices, emergency contraception (Plan B), and fertility awareness-based methods including the lactational amenorrhea (LAM) method. • STD Testing, Treatment and Vaccines: chlamydia, syphilis, gonorrhea, hepatitis B screening, hepatitis B vaccine, hepatitis C testing, and HIV screening and testing. • Screening Services: intimate partner violence, alcohol and other drug use, tobacco use, immunizations, BMI, blood pressure, diabetes, and depression. • Pregnancy Services: pregnancy testing and counseling, folic acid supplementation, achieving pregnancy, and basic infertility. • Cancer Screenings and Prevention: cervical, breast, and men's health, including testicular cancer screenings, and the HPV Vaccine for both men and women. • Basic Ultrasound Services: IUD string placement, basic pelvic anatomy, breast lump evaluation. SNCHC proposes the following Family Planning Clinics under this application: • 280 S. Decatur, Las Vegas, NV 89107 (Decatur location) • 2950 E. Bonanza Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89101 (east/Bonanza location, temporary) • 2830 E. Fremont St., Las Vegas, NV 89104 (east/Fremont location, opening summer 2022 and replacing the east/Bonanza location) • SNCHC Mobile Unit (outreach to underserved areas, including the rural Nye and Lincoln Counties, as well as select locations in Clark County) • New - North Las Vegas (north/North Las Vegas location, address TBD, opening in Year Three) • New – Clark County (location and address TBD, opening in Year Five) In Year One, 4,760 clients will access services across 2 brick and mortar clinics and a mobile unit. In Year Two, staff will begin searching for additional clinic space in North Las Vegas, secure a lease, and begin preparing the space. 5,011 clients will continue accessing services across 2 brick and mortar clinics and a mobile unit. The North Las Vegas site will open in Year Three, and 5,775 clients will have an additional location to access for services. In Year Four, staff will begin searching for additional clinic space in Clark County, secure a lease, and begin preparing the space. 7,554 clients will continue accessing services across 3 brick and mortar clinics and a mobile unit. The Clark County location will open in Year Five, and 9,949 clients will have access to 4 brick and mortar clinics and the mobile unit.
