Cuidate, por tu salud is a Title X funded health project that provides an array of confidential preventive health services including contraceptive services, pregnancy testing, pelvic exams, screening for breast and cervical cancer, screening for STDs including HIV/AIDS, basic infertility services, lab test and related health services, information, education and counseling related to family planning and referral for other health and social services. Cuidate, por tu salud provides services to the most in need populations of the San Juan Statistical Area, Arecibo, Carolina, Isabela, Ponce and San German and nearby towns: the poor, adolescents, people living with HIV/AIDS, uninsured and individuals living in high risk communities. The Cuidate, por tu salud project is located at the Profamilias Celestina Zalduondo Clinic in San Juan, Puerto Rico and in the others mentioned towns. Profamilias is a not for profit, community based organization dedicated to provide clinical and educational services on sexual and reproductive health which includes voluntary family planning services for both men and women as they plan their families. Such services includes postponing, preventing, achieving or facilitating the spacing of pregnancy. For sixty-four years, our Organization has delivered quality family planning services to the populations with the most need but emphasizing on low income families. Profamilias provides high quality medical, case management and educational services and creates awareness in the community about the importance of education for responsible sexuality and prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, sexual reproductive tract infections and HIV/AIDS.
