IFHC is requesting $5,000,000 of federal funds.The proposed Indiana Title X Family Planning project will provide comprehensive quality family planning services according to program statute, regulations, legislative mandates, program guidelines, program priorities, and key issues. IFHC anticipates on providing services to a minimum of 30,000 unduplicated clients from April 1, 2019 through March 31, 2022. The IFHC family planning needs assessment identified the following groups to be at greatest risk for adverse outcomes in Indiana:?Adolescents in need of family planning services,?Women at risk for unintended pregnancy,?Families needing child spacing, and?Minority populations where racial disparities on reproductive health exist.IFHC will operate one clinical site in downtown Indianapolis and contract with Eskenazi Health, PACE Community Action Agency, Open Door Health Centers, Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky, Putnam County Hospital, Monroe County Health Department, Northern Indiana Maternal Child Health Network, HealthNet, TRI-CAP, New Hope Services, Indiana University Fort Wayne, and Healthy Communities of Clinton County Coalition as Sub-Recipients. The Sub-Recipient system will operate 29 clinic sites in 23 counties in Indiana for comprehensive family planning services. The counties are a mix of urban and rural communities and represent 278,340 (62%) of the women in need of publicly supported family planning service in Indiana. The counties represent 53% of White women, 91% of Black women, and 75% of Hispanic women in need of services. The Indiana Family Health Council, Inc., the Indiana State Department of Health, Indiana Family and Social Services Administration, and Indiana Department of Child Services continue services of the Indiana Family Planning Partnership which is reflected in the increased sites and counties of coverage as the Title X, SSBG Title XX, and TANF family planning funds are now all represented in this program.
