Family, Opportunity, Resilience, Grit, Engagement - Fatherhood (Kansas FORGE Fatherhood) - The University of Kansas School of Social Welfare and Cornerstones of Care will implement the Kansas FORGE Fatherhood program in five counties in Eastern Kansas (Atchison, Douglas, Johnson, Leavenworth, and Wyandotte). The project will deliver the evidence-based Supporting Father Involvement curriculum as its primary workshop, supplemented by the Money Habitudes financial tool and individualized case management. Fathers will receive 24 hours of skills-based workshops covering healthy relationships/marriage, co-parenting, parenting practices, and child involvement, along with financial education and case management services connecting them to community resources. The program will serve 350 fathers over the five-year project period, helping them gain skills to healthily parent and co-parent, increase engagement with their children, and improve their economic stability and mobility.
