TYRO Fathers - The Ridge Project will serve 1,480 incarcerated and formerly incarcerated adult fathers across six Ohio correctional facilities through TYRO Dads (24-hour responsible parenting curriculum) and Couple/Core Communication (8-hour healthy marriage education), followed by economic stability programming including job ethics training, financial literacy, and industry-recognized job training. Fathers will develop Individual and Family Goal Achievement Plans while receiving case management support for 12 months post-release, including job search assistance and connection to peer-based mentoring networks. Through these comprehensive services, the project aims to improve family functioning, increase father-child engagement, boost employment outcomes, and reduce recidivism—breaking generational cycles of incarceration and poverty across Ohio communities.
