Long Island Fatherhood Initiative-Program helps fathers (age 18+) become better parents, partners and providers by supporting fathers in overcoming obstacles to build healthier, more stable families. - The Retreat will implement the Long Island Fatherhood Initiative (LIFI) serving community fathers ages 18+ across Nassau and Suffolk Counties, New York. The program will provide responsible parenting education using the evidence-based 24:7 Dad curriculum, healthy marriage/relationship education, and economic stability services including job readiness, employment support, and post-employment assistance. LIFI will deliver comprehensive case management focused on economic stability, peer mentoring through a new MENTOR Dad component, and domestic violence/child maltreatment prevention education. Over the five-year project period, the program will serve 1,045 fathers, helping them become better parents, partners, and providers while building healthier, more stable families.
