The FRAMEWorks Program will utilize a three-pronged approach to mitigate these negative outcomes through programming that 1) utilizes trauma informed approach to support mental health, improve communication skills, and self-efficacy, 2) strengthens communication and self-advocacy skills, and 3) improves self-sufficiency through increased access to education, job training, and other needed resources. Collaborative partners and social service organizations will be developed to facilitate stated outcomes outlined in the FRAMEWorks Program. AVANCE proposes to deliver Marriage and Relationship Education/ Skills, Marriage Enhancement, and Divorce Reduction activities to low income adults over 18 years old The FRAMEWorks Program will use the evidence and skills-based curriculum, Survival Skills for Healthy Families by Family Wellness Associates, to meet the needs of our diverse cultural population. Primary workshops will focus on communication skills, conflict resolution, knowledge of benefits of marriage, stress/anger management, parenting skills, financial literacy, job and career advancement, and relationship skills to improve their family and economic stability. AVANCE is committed to providing primary workshop content through two distinct dual language, English and Spanish, formats: Weekly Workshops and Weekend Hybrid Models. AVANCE will serve 1,800 adults over the 5-year grant period.
