AI3 Action Institute - Artificial Intelligence for American Indians - Cherokee Nation’s project goal is to establish the Seven Generations Native Nations Center to provide nationwide training and technical assistance that strengthens the capacity of ANA applicants, recipients, and eligible Native organizations. The Center, headquartered in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, will serve ANA’s national service area through Western, Central, Eastern, and Pacific operational regions, including Alaska, Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, CNMI, and other areas served by ANA. The project objectives include providing comprehensive, focused, and customized capacity-building services; supporting project planning, application readiness, award implementation and administration, financial and grants management, performance measurement, reporting, evaluation, resource leveraging, and sustainability; and using standardized intake, needs assessment, service planning, tracking, follow-up, evaluation, data review, and participant feedback processes. Expected outputs include individualized virtual and in-person assistance, short-term in-service training, assistance to unsuccessful applicants, regional training institutes, nationwide virtual training, virtual office hours, peer learning opportunities, subject-matter expert support, and tools, curricula, manuals, guidebooks, and other resources. Expected outcomes include stronger ability among served organizations to develop competitive community-driven projects, manage federal awards, measure performance, meet federal requirements, and sustain project results.
