Tlingit & Haida's Tribal Victim Services - The Central Council Tlingit & Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska will implement a prevention and early intervention system for tribal families at risk of child abuse or neglect. The project will develop a responsive assessment tool to evaluate child safety and risk, create a unified intake process across TANF and child welfare programs, and expand support for kinship and foster caregivers. The Tribe will strengthen cross-system collaboration through formalized MOUs, streamlined service navigation, and data-informed practice to reduce child welfare system involvement while ensuring children remain connected to their families and communities. Over the five-year project period, the Tribe expects to serve hundreds of tribal families across their service area.
