To strengthen case management between the Tribal TANF and Tribal Child Welfare programs that will lead to improved services and an increase in successful of families struggling to keep their lives and relations together and their families intact. The purpose of this project is to implement system changes so that improvements to the coordination of tribal TANF and child welfare programs are sustained within the Community and Family Services department by cultivating and strengthening coordination through process development and departmental restructure which will result in: 1. Improved coordination between the tribal TANF and child welfare program to decrease the number of Tribal children entering the foster care system. 2. Increase the use of community resources, tribal support services to allow parents to safely parent children in their own home, increase the level of case management families are receiving from both the TANF program and the child welfare program. 3. Increase communication across the TANF and Child Welfare system that serve tribal families through the development of operating procedures. 4. Increase cross-training that will result in greater collaboration and case plan development.
