Needs to be Addressed: TANF recipient/eligible families and families caring for CSKT children in out-of-home placements often have barriers to family well-being, social and economic stability that can be successfully addressed through the project's prevention/intervention services. Collaboration across system, particularly between Child Welfare and TANF, will decrease barriers to service provision for families and improve their outcomes. Proposed Services: Services will be provided via a family strengths-based, wrap-around service delivery model. Services will include intake/assessment; case management; support services; referrals to tribal and community resources; advocacy on behalf of participants with other agencies; individualized, in-home services through referral; cross-system collaboration and systems change; child abuse prevention activities such as Healthy Families events; parenting classes; automotive repair classes; literacy/Ebay classes; hiset tutoring; and cross-training for staff and other stakeholders to improve their expertise. Primary Workshop Hours (PWH) Targets and Number of Participants Who Will Receive 90% of PWHs in Year Two: 70 participants. Population to be Served: The service population is comprised of three groups of CSKT families: 1) TANF recipient families who are at risk of child abuse and neglect or who are currently involved with CPS, including two-parent families, single parent families, and child only cases. 2) Tribal children in out-of-home placements and families caring for them, including relative caregiver families, foster families, and adoptive families, 3) TANF eligible and other tribal families at-risk of child abuse and neglect.
