Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Communities of Practice (CoP) - Community Action Kentucky (CAK), on behalf of Community of Practice (CoP) 1, proposes a regional training and technical assistance initiative serving CSBG state offices, tribal organizations, state associations, eligible entities, and Community Action Agencies across Hawaii, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, and four federally recognized tribes. The project area includes urban, rural, and tribal communities experiencing a variety of economic and service delivery challenges. CoP1 will address identified needs related to organizational capacity, performance management, workforce development, collaboration, and access to effective training and technical assistance. Using needs assessment findings, stakeholder feedback, and ongoing evaluation, the project will provide coordinated, data-informed support that strengthens the capacity of CSBG entities to implement effective anti-poverty strategies that promote economic mobility, family well-being, and community resilience. CoP1 will also leverage partnerships with tribal-serving organizations and other regional partners, as appropriate, to support outreach, engagement, peer learning, and culturally responsive training and technical assistance activities to the participating four tribes in our service region. Project activities will include webinars, workshops, peer learning opportunities, coaching, targeted technical assistance, resource development, and cross-state learning exchanges. CoP1 will also utilize a Learning Management System (LMS) to provide access to training materials, tools, resources, and promising practices. Monthly state association meetings and bi-monthly tribal consultations will support collaboration, information sharing, and continuous improvement. Through these activities, CoP1 will strengthen organizational performance, expand peer learning and collaboration, increase the use of effective and promising practices, and build sustainable systems for training, technical assistance, and knowledge sharing throughout the CSBG Network.
