The Channel Islands YMCA TLP promotes self-sufficiency and reduces homelessness through shelter, street outreach, and comprehensive services for 180 homeless youth each year for three years. - The Transitional Living Program (TLP) (CX) provides safe, stable, and appropriate shelter for runaway and homeless youth ages 16 to under 22 for up to 18 months and, under extenuating circumstances, can be extended to 21 months. TLPs provide comprehensive services (e.g., basic life skills, educational and job attainment opportunities, counseling) that supports the transition of homeless youth to self-sufficiency and stable, independent living.
