Nevada Public Health Preparedness Hospital Preparedness Program - The Nevada Hospital Preparedness Program consists of four coalitions throughout the state with direct coordination with local, state, and tribal healthcare systems. The program's purpose is to strengthen and enhance each coalition and the capabilities to ensure an effective response and recovery to existing and evolving threats and other public health emergencies impacting Nevada's residents and visitors. The project will focus on preparedness and response readiness activities identified in the 2024-2028 Cooperative Agreement as well as maintaining outcomes and realized gains from the previous cooperative agreement. The Nevada HPP will work with coalition members, partners, and stakeholders to carry out the strategies and objectives identified in the Nevada Public Health Preparedness 5-Year Strategic Plan. The strategic plan was developed in collaboration with representation from each of the coalitions, local, state, and tribal partners from public and private sectors to include but not limited to public health, healthcare, EMS, and critical infrastructure. An annual review of the strategic plan will take place ahead of each continuation application to ensure assessments, after-action improvement items, and lessons learned are identified and the plan is revised to meet the current needs of Nevada's communities. The proposed activities are specific to building and maintaining the readiness of Nevada's healthcare delivery system to ensure access and provision of medical care to all during emergencies that exceeds the medical emergency response system's day-to-day capacity and capability. Progress will be measured and documented and all HPP partners will be involved in the feedback, improvement, and revision process according to Nevada's whole-community approach.
