Sasha Bruce Youthwork (SBY) will operate the Wyman Teen Outreach Program (TOP®) in Wards 7 and 8 of Washington, DC. TOP® is an evidence-based teen pregnancy prevention program. We will serve 1,800 6th-12th-grade youth through in-school and after-school weekly TOP clubs. TOP® creates a safe space atmosphere and encourages youth to openly share and discuss their thoughts, feelings, experiences, and beliefs. Using an evidence-based curriculum the T.O.P® Curriculum focuses on three core content areas that work together as protective factors, reducing the impact of risk and promoting positive youth development: skill-building, developing a sense of self and making connections. The T.O.P® Curriculum also includes a civic engagement component. Measurement of fidelity to the TOP® program and performance indicators will take place on an ongoing basis to ensure efficacy and success.
