Lund Family Center (LFC) is the only residential treatment program in the State of Vermont that takes substance abusing pregnant, postpartum and parenting women along with their children in the treatment setting. LFC is proposing in the Supplement Grant to further refine and enhance its services to substance abusing women and their children for an additional year. Further refinement and attention will focus on work with the Chittenden County Family Court and the Family Treatment Court through placement of a LFC Case Management staff person in the court. LFC is undergoing an expansion of residential services, from 18 to 24 beds. The State has expressed an interest in utilization of these much needed beds which should be available in December of 2007.
