B-SOBR Drug Court - Beaverton, OR - The Beaverton Sobriety Opportunity for Beginning Recovery (B-SOBR) program is an innovative drug court model that assists repeat-offenders of operating vehicles under the influence to overcome the obstacle of alcohol and drug addiction. SAMHSA funds will help BSOBR expand its treatment services to serve 100 people over the life of the project, including those with co-occurring mental health disorders. Strategies/Interventions are: 1) Partnership with limited number of providers to enhance evidence based practices (EBP) treatment modalities; 2) New assessment tools to identify high-risk, high-need candidates; 3) Use of a Committee Assignment Reports (CAR) assessment tool to identify co-occurring disorders among driving under the influence (DUI) offenders; 4) A new case management system to help collect appropriate data; 5) 24-hour UA monitoring; 6) Enhanced training for B-SOBR team members, including treatment providers; and 7) Helping B-SOBR participants take advantage of public and private community resources. Goals and Objectives are: 1) To identify appropriate high-risk, high-need candidates for B-SOBR; 2) Develop and utilize assessment tools that help screen repeat DUI offenders; 3) Remove barriers that prohibit B-SOBR representation of minorities and women; 4) To enhance the EBP treatment services; 5) Limit the number of providers that B-SOBR works with to those that follow EBPs; 6) Provide subsidies for treatment to those treatment providers that follow EBPs; 7) Use the CARS assessment tool to identify co-occurring disorders; 8) Enhance training of team members and treatment providers on EBPs; 9) Provide 24/7 monitoring of B-SOBR participants; 10) Connect B-SOBR participants with additional public and private community resources; 11) Coordinate with treatment providers and allow for more efficient case management; 12) To conduct better performance measurement of B-SOBR activities, and 13) Develop a new case management system to help collect appropriate B-SOBR
