La Voz - Outreach, Addiction Treatment, and Trauma Support for Latinas will serve Puerto Rican Latinas at-risk for or diagnosed with substance use and mental health disorders, or living with HIV in the communities of Springfield and Holyoke located in western Massachusetts. Specific interventions to be provided include Motivational Interviewing, the Boston Consortium Model: Trauma-Informed Substance Abuse Treatment for Women, and HIV services that include HIV rapid testing and counseling, and risk reduction prevention education. The program will contact over 2,600 women in high-need neighborhoods and enroll 200 women over three years. Project will provide risk reduction and prevention/education and counseling to Latinas in an effort to increase knowledge and awareness of risk and risk status, and to reduce impact of trauma and violence on HIV transmission.
