PASCO COUNTY YOUNG ADULT DRUG COURT COLLABORATIVE - Pasco County Florida Board of County Commissioners in partnership with the Sixth Judicial Circuit, the Pasco County Adult Drug Court, Alpha Counseling Services, Inc., and WestCare GulfCoast-Florida, Inc. is focusing specifically on young adult drug court offenders (males and females ages 18-26) who have substance abuse dependence requiring placement in outpatient services, who may have a mild mental health disorder, and who are charged with drug related offense. The program will provide intensive outpatient case management services including individualized, gender specific, and evidence-based substance abuse treatment, mental health services, and needed relevant linkages to community-based social services. This project provides a framework for enhancing the current Pasco County Drug Court through a structured approach utilizing the collaborative efforts of this initiative, law enforcement, state attorney, public defender, and local education and social service providers.
