Recovery Net is a collaborative initiative between The Providence Center, RICARES and Miriam Hospital/ Brown University. Recovery Net will use evidence-based practices to create a model of recovery-oriented services designed to specifically meet the needs of 250 co-occurring ex-offenders in short-term recovery that live in Greater Providence, RI. Recovery Net's goals include increasing the availability and extent of services that support our population and establishing a ROSC that addresses the long-term changing needs of ex-offenders in recovery in order to reduce the current high rates of relapse and recidivism. Achievement of goals will result in system change and individual change. System-wide results will include 1) an enhanced treatment and support continuum for people who would normally have very limited treatment and recovery services; 2) increased access for 100% of participants to recovery services and primary care services, and access as needed to employment and education, housing, mental health services and legal services 3) integration of recovery services, linkages and treatment as demonstrated through individual recovery plans, 4) a sustainable ROSC post-grant period as demonstrated by continued support and referral to the Recovery Community Center from the community, strong Recovery Community Center membership, and continuation of linkages. Meaningful individual results will include (1) reduced relapse, (2) reduced recidivism, (3) reduced mental health problems, (4) increased employment, (5) increased housing, (6) improved physical health and (7) strengthened advocacy community.
