Amethyst, Inc., proposes to provide integrated substance abuse and mental health services to homeless women in Columbus, Ohio. This project will increase capacity, increase accessibility for services, enhance family-centered services, enhance socioeconomic services, and enhance integrated primary healthcare services. Amethyst will provide services in supportive housing to 50 new women in each of the five grant years, for a total of 250 unduplicated persons over the life of the grant. Women will achieve the following by six months post admission: Addiction Recovery: (1) 50% of those admitted will report abstinence from alcohol and other drugs. (2) 100% of women will be screened for substance abuse and mental health disorders; (3) 100% of those diagnosed with a mental health disorder will receive intensive case management to support linkage to service. Wellness and Family Stability: (1) 60% of women with child custody issues will develop a reunification plan. (2) 100% of women will have a physical health assessment Socioeconomic Stability: (1) 50% will have an employment readiness assessment; (2) 25% will identify a volunteer placement in the field of their choice.
