The Veteran and Inebriate Program (VIP) is a program providing services for homeless veterans and chronic inebriates (inebriates) experiencing behavioral health disorders in Pinellas County, FL. VIP will expand and strengthen treatment resources for 420 individuals based on identified local needs. BayCare Behavioral Health, will work in partnership with the Homeless Emergency Project, Inc. (HEP), one of the largest providers of homeless services and HUD-funded Permanent Supportive Housing sites in Pinellas County. BayCare will provide on-site intensive individualized services to homeless veterans and inebriates with serious psychiatric disorders or with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders. This project will be an on-site overlay program designed to prevent/reduce homelessness via a continuum of services. VIP will serve 60 individuals during year one and a total of 420 individuals over the life of the program.
