DEKALB COUNTY DRUG COURT - The DeKalb County Drug Court (DCDC) program will expand participants and enhance services through a Second Track using evidence-based, lower-intensity programming to address the unmet needs of the criminally-involved and addicted population. The target population of the Second Track is compromised of non-violent felony offenders classified with medium to low-medium risk of recidivism and have serious substance abuse issues, including crack cocaine and methamphetamine. The program plans to enroll 255 participants over three years. Eligible candidates for the Second Track will have at least a medium level of substance abuse problems and score at the Medium to Low-Medium level of risk for recidivism on the LSI-R. The benchmarks will include 3 months of intensive outpatient treatment, 6 months of outpatient treatment, and 12 months of maintenance, case management, and monitoring.
