Dental Reimbursement Program - Dental Services and the Ryan White program clinic are both located on the campus of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. The dental program is an active part of the Ryan White HIV Care Program at WFUHS. The dental director participates in Ryan White team meetings and the dental clinic coordinator is in frequent contact with the Ryan White program administrator and program assistant to maximize coordination and integration, and with the Ryan White patient navigators to facilitate referral to care. The dental clinic specializes in providing care to high/special needs population without the ability to pay for care. There is close coordination between the dental clinic and the Ryan White program. The dental clinic provides a wide range of services and is co-located with the Ryan White program. Ryan White patient navigators facilitate transportation to the dental appointments where needed. Total unreimbursed cost of oral health care provided to people with HIV from July 1, 2023-June 30, 2024 was $51,530.
