The Coalition will prevent and reduce youth substance use by implementing the following strategies: Build its leadership pool and community membership; develop a strategic plan to give the coalition a strong framework and operational guidelines; increase awareness and barriers to youth alcohol, marijuana and prescription drug access; collaborate with parents to provide awareness; information and support to raise parental perception of risk of alcohol, marijuana and prescription drug availability and use by youth in our target segment; and reduce availability to youth of alcohol and prescription drugs by increasing environmental barriers to access.
