The coalition will prevent and reduce youth substance use by implementing the following strategies: increase community membership and engagement; strengthen and build coalition capacity for substance abuse prevention; increase youth skills and knowledge around alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana use and peer alcohol use; increase Alaska Native youth access to healthy activities; and increase youth perception of harm for marijuana use.
