Partners in Prevention Drug Free Communities Project - The coalition will prevent and reduce youth substance use by implementing the following strategies: Identify and engage community resources and stakeholders; strengthen coalition sustainability and effectiveness; maintain a diverse roster which is representative of the community; involve youth and parents (through a Positive Community Norms campaign and events); Collaborate with other coalitions and organizations that focus on reducing youth substance use; develop PIP brand throughout the community through development of a PIP brand and logo, creation of PIP social media, and presentations to community groupsCoalition members and staff will attend local, state, and national trainings on ATOD prevention and coalition work; analyze the Minnesota Student Survey data from 2013; correct misperceptions of peer use (alcohol and marijuana) among youth; and reduce access and increase barriers to alcohol and marijuana use (policy work).
