The coalition will prevent and reduce youth substance use by implementing these strategies: Expanding and enhancing the membership of the coalition; enhancing the leadership skills of the Steering and Action Committees; conducting community outreach to increase coalition visibility and awareness of the problem; changing policies and practices to prevent and reduce youth drug use; and decreasing access and availability of alcohol to youth.
