Underage Drinking Prevention & Underage Tobacco Prevention - The coalition will prevent and reduce youth substance use by implementing these strategies: Enhancing the Coalition's capacity to communicate with members and potential members; recruiting new members to represent the Hispanic community and additional law enforcement agencies; expanding the current coalition member and partner recognition efforts; promoting in-state opportunities for training and leadership development; ensuring that appropriate leaders participate in out-of-state development opportunities; organizing team to prepare and submit required application package to the IRS; reducing youth access to alcohol in private residents; reducing youth access to alcohol in private clubs; modifying state and local policies related to underage drinking; changing consequences for underage drinkers and parents who provide alcohol or allow underage drinking parties to take place on property they control; Reducing youth access to tobacco; and modifying state policies related to tobacco misuse.
