The HEAL Coalition of the Wholistic Stress Control Institute, Inc. (WSCI) will implement the following goals: Goal I: To strengthen and enhance collaboration and cooperation among federal, state and local governments and community organizations to create community level change regarding underage drinking in the Southwest Atlanta communities, zip codes of 30331, 3 0318 and 30311. Goal II: To serve as a catalyst to increase citizens' participation among all sectors and enhance intergovernmental cooperation and coordination in order to reduce underage drinking in the Southwest Atlanta communities. The objectives are: 1) Provide the Coalition with staff support in order to strengthen and enhance collaboration and cooperation among target communities, sectors and government agencies. 2) Provide the Coalition with staff support in order for it to serve as a catalyst to increase citizens' participation among sectors and organizations, 3) Enhance intergovernmental coordination by involving representatives from the federal, state and local government in the coalition's UAD workgroups and in the UAD town hall meetings. 4) Complete the 5 Steps in SAMHSA's Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF). 5) Reduce access to alcohol in the homes of youth ages, 11 - 19 in the target communities by increasing parent awareness of the prevalence and consequences of underage drinking. 6) Distribute widely information on underage drinking policies, laws and state of the art programs on underage drinking to youth, parents, schools and all sectors of the community. 7) Conduct UAD training with target communities, businesses and organizations in order to create a local culture that disapproves of UAD. 8) To increase recognition and awareness of links between UAD to suicide and risky sexual behaviors for youth ages 11-19 and 9) Conduct two underage drinking town hall meetings in target communities.
