The coalition will prevent and reduce youth substance use by implementing the following strategies: 1. T.R. Y. will perform Alcohol Outlet Surveys to ensure that age identification is checked when alcohol and/or tobacco are purchased. 2. TRY will work with youth to actively promote and advocate for Drug Free Schools 3. TRY will collaborate with the NC Alcohol Beverage Commission and local government officials to decrease Alcohol Outlet Density. 4. TRY will collaborate with the NC Drug Enforcement Agency and local law enforcement to dispose of unused prescription drugs during scheduled Operation Medicine Drop events.
