The coalition will prevent and reduce youth substance use by implementing the following strategies:Educating and mobilizing community members and decision makers to adopt best practice policies to limit youth access and availability of alcohol, marijuana and prescription drugs; restricting retail and social host provision of alcohol; enhancing local policy on cultivation, manufacturing and dispensing of marijuana; and promoting community members to monitor, secure and dispose of prescription drugs; advancing prescription drug disposal policy; and addressing over prescription of opioids and opioid alternatives for pain management.
