The coalition will prevent and reduce youth substance use by implementing the following strategies: (1) Work with community leaders to implement or change policies to support the development of an environment that prevents and reduces youth substance abuse, such as the Social Host Law, liquor license renewal, common County curfew, mandatory opiate training for physicians. (2) Increase enforcement of laws that reduce access to substances for youth, such as conducting compliance checks. (3) Collaborate to educate the community on youth substance abuse through strategies such as Prescription Drug Drop Off Days, Parents Who Host Lose the Most, Prescription Drug Speaker's Bureau, Responsible Beverage Server trainings, and Outdoor Festival Volunteer Beverage Server training.
