The goals of the Coalition are: (1) establish and strengthen collaboration among Fountain Hills Youth Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition's partner organizations in support of the community's effort to prevent and reduce substance abuse among youth; and (2) reduce substance abuse among youth in Fountain Hills, AZ, and, over time, reduce substance abuse among adults by addressing the issues in our community that increase the risk of substance abuse and promoting the factors that minimize the risk of substance abuse. The Coalition will achieve its goals by implementing these strategies: (1) Increase the strength of the Coalition by increasing capacity, communicating progress, and solidifying relationships of 12 sectors in our community. (2) Increase consistency and amount of enforcement of underage alcohol and illegal drug laws and policies. (3) Reduce youth access to drugs and raise community awareness of their prevalence and dangers in Fountain Hills.
