Jones County Safe and Healthy Youth Coalition - The coalition will prevent and reduce youth substance use by implementing the following strategies: Increase overall community collaboration and coalition sustainability to prevent or reduce youth substance abuse through providing Information, enhancing access/reducing barriers, and providing public recognition/changing consequences; increase the leadership skills of coalition members by enhancing skills and public recognition/ changing consequences; decrease the number of 11th grade students reporting easy or very easy access to alcohol through providing information, enhancing skills, providing support, reducing access/enhancing barriers, changing consequences/public recognition, and changing policies and practices; and decrease the number of 11th grade students reporting easy or very easy access to marijuana through providing information, providing support, changing physical design, and changing policy or practice.
