Inspira's Behavioral Health Treatment Mall is a holistic approach to primary and behavioral health care integration that aims to improve health outcomes for those with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders who have or are at risk for co-morbid primary care conditions and chronic disease who live in South Jersey. Patients served include low-income and otherwise health disparate populations who face serious access issues in the target area. The Treatment Mall program will incorporate evidence based practices into an outpatient setting targeting treatment plan adherence, tobacco cessation, nutrition and wellness and chronic illness prevention within a consumer-centered health care home model that advances recovery opportunities for clients. The goal for this program is to increase access to enhanced primary care and wellness programming in an effort to improve the health of consumers and reduce costs associated with caring for patients with untreated chronic illness.
